This programme will study materials at the molecular and the macroscopic level. The aim is to develop both existing and new materials with the potential to solve environmental problems, and at the same time enhance companies’ competitiveness. The focus is on porous materials capable of removing environmentally harmful substances from air, soil and water.
In June, KTH Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm was chosen to host the new programme, in competition with other applicants.
The programme started work in the autumn, with Ulrica Edlund at KTH as programme director.
