Final award from Mistra Innovation for new, smart environmental ideas

Mistra Innovation awarded SEK 20 million for six new projects. They are concerned with more effective abatement and monitoring of air pollution, environmentally friendlier lubricants, and improved recycling of brass and low-energy light bulbs.

This was the fourth and final round of awards under the programme. Mistra Innovation supports small-scale projects to develop ideas that could result in innovative and successful products with less impact on the environment.

‘Of the eighteen projects funded by us to date, twelve have already got products out onto the market. That’s both gratifying and impressive. And the six that haven’t reached that point yet have also learnt a lot of lessons, which will hopefully generate more concrete results further down the line,’ said the programme’s director, Lars Frenning.
